About Ms. Mayra

Mayra Fajardo is a nationally certified and highly experienced occupational therapist who has dedicated her career to supporting young learners build the foundational skills needed for engagement in activities of daily living.

She is a licensed and insured National Board Certified Occupational Therapist with over 35 years of experience supporting children and their families.

Since 1990, she’s been dedicated to helping young learners improve their ability to participate in everyday tasks and routines. Her background includes extensive work with children of various ages and developmental profiles, including those with complex needs.

She is also certified in Sensory Integration, with advanced training in understanding and supporting sensory processing challenges

Ms. Mayra’s Approach 

Ms. Mayra’s therapy approach is child-centered, play-based, and grounded in evidence-based practices. She believe in meeting children where they are—physically, developmentally, and emotionally—and tailoring each session to their unique strengths and challenges. She works closely with families to develop practical strategies and tools that can be used in daily routines, empowering caregivers to support their child’s growth beyond the therapy session.

As a certified Sensory Integration therapist, she also places a strong emphasis on helping children regulate and respond to their sensory environments, creating a foundation for more successful participation in daily activities.
